The BizTEC Competition is comprised of 3 seperate stages - Ideas, Executive Summaries and Business Plans. The Idea stage is voluntary, and teams may submit their executive summary without having submitted an Idea. However, BizTEC strongly encourages teams to submit their Ideas and enjoy the feedback given from our judges.

The Executive Summary stage is mandatory, and there is no option of submitting a Business Plan without having been selected as a qualifying team in the semi-finals.

During the semi-finals, no more than 20 teams will be selected, up to 5 teams from 4 categories:

• Communications & Hardware
• Internet, Software & IT
• Medical Devices & Lifestyle
• Cleantech

These ventures will compete for 4 categorical prizes, and 1 first place prize, for a total of 5 winners. Each categorical prize is worth 15,000 NIS, while the First Place Prize is worth 50,000 NIS. In addition, the First Place Winner and a chosen Categorical Prize Winner will have the honor of representing Israel in the European Intel Challenge.
